How excited am I that Lady Gaga is appearing on The Simpsons season finale airing this Sunday! Talk about going out with a bang. You’ll get to see little genius Lisa Simpson make Gaga cry like a little girl. And cry tiny diamond tears? Classic!
Who else other than Homer would think about eating Lady Gaga’s famously controversial meat dress. But I’m sure Lisa Simpson will have something to say about that, being a vegetarian that she is.
Can’t wait!
Expendables 2 is next up to my “must watch” list. The trailer looks super cool, and pretty much everyone from the first one is back, and more! Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Liam Hemsworth. Whew! And, most importantly, former actor-turned-governor-turned-actor again Arnold Schwarzenegger is also back into the acting scene! Well, not the first time he came back, as the last recent movie I saw him in was a brief footage in Terminator 3, but still, it’s always fun to see the governator drop politics for guns. And lots of cash.
Just as expected, The Avengers totally kicked ass. One of the best movies I’ve ever watched. Anyone who says otherwise is just criticizing for the sake of criticizing. Just let Hulk smash them around like he did with Loki. 😀
I love a movie that combines a ton of action and witty humor, mostly thanks to Iron Man/Tony Stark. He brings much needed wit and hilarity to make light of every situation he’s in, no matter how deadly. Sure, he’s self centered and “when is it ever not” about him, but in the end, he proves otherwise, by carrying the nuclear bomb and tossing it into space saving millions of lives.
There’s too much going on in the movie so rather than spoiling it for you, I’ll just list my favorite quotes and funny moments.
Funny quotes (that I can remember):
Thor: He’s my brother.
Natasha: He killed 80 people in 2 days.
Thor: He’s adopted.
Phil (to Captain America): It’s an honor to finally meet you. Well, I’ve seen you before. I watched you when you were sleeping. I mean, I was present when you were unconscious.
Pepper Pots: Hey Phil!
Stark: Phil? I thought his first name was Agent.
Captain America: Stark, we need a plan of attack.
Stark: I have a plan: attack!
Stark: Dr Banner, your work is unparalleled. And I’m a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster.
Banner: Thanks.
Thor: You people are petty. And tiny!
Stark (to Thor): Does your mother know you’re wearing her drapes?
Favorite moments:
When Hulk busts into a glass building with Thor, with them finally standing next to each other for maybe two seconds, Hulk decides it’ll be funny to punch Thor and send him flying across the room. The scene was just so random that it’s funny.
When Hulk captures Loki, and Loki faces him, giving him this grand speech about how he’s the KING and the rest of them are just beneath him, before he could finish, Hulk picks him up and smacks him down on the ground back and forth numerous times and then leaves. 😀 I love Hulk’s “I don’t give a f— who you are” attitude.
After falling to the ground, Iron Man/Stark lays unconscious, making us think he’s dead. Then Hulk roars loudly and Stark suddenly wakes up. “Wha- what just happened? I hope nobody kissed me!” 😀 Man, ya gotta love Robert Downey Jr.

ABC just released photos of the 25 Bachelorette contestants, and sadly, not all of them are hot. Except for these ones that I’ve selected. Emily Maynard, from the previous Bachelor, gets to be the luckiest mother on the planet! What? She has a kid!
Some of these guys are pretty young, in their late twenties. I highly doubt they’re ready to be instant father. I’ve stopped watching Bachelor/ette shows but because I think these hotties are totally hunky, I might just watch and see how it plays out between the guys and her kid, and because I have high hopes that all these TV romances last forever.
No need for 25 – I’ve already narrowed down to my top 6 in 5 minutes:

What will Lois have to say about this? I’m sure there’s an explanation why Peter Griffin and Quagmire are cuddling in bed, in a new upcoming episode of Family Guy this Sunday. But then again, it’s the friggin’ Family Guy. Sometimes, what you see is exactly what it is. All I can say about this photo is, “Giggity.” 😛

Just 2 more days until another exciting all-new Vampire Diaries episode (that will once again leave you hanging wanting for more!) Here are the photos from this episode. For a small town, they sure have a lot of themed parties. This time, they’re doing 1920s, which explains the costumes. We all know something crazy and vampiric is bound to go down. Like the Original Vampire Mom, who pretended to be dead only to come back and take over her daughter’s body to fool everyone and make a deal with Alaric’s vampire-hunting alter ego to kill all her vampire children. But we also know if the Originals die, all vampires will die, so that’s not going to happen.

So, another movie by Nicholas Sparks, huh? All his books that turned into movies have the similar plot. There’s a war, someone suffers memory loss, letters being written, read, and found, conflict with the parents, etc. Nobody explains it better than Cracked.com.
So this guy, played by Zac Efron, finds a photo of a woman, a bomb goes off, he survives, and so he thinks the photo saved his life. Wow. Really? Then he decides to do some serious stalking to find this mysterious woman and sleep with her. And the real conflict is when she finds out she’s in love with her stalker. The end.
I hate it when my favorite shows take a long hiatus after a good episode, making me wait like a month for the next one, while filling in the gaps with reruns. It’s been too long since the last episode of Vampire Diaries. I mean, sure, I can never get enough of Ian Somerhalder‘s oozing hotness, but on the other hand, I’m over Nina Dobrev‘s character, Elena Gilbert, screwing things up for everyone as a result of her righteous ways and believing that blood-sucking vampires deserve to live, only to end up being used by the very vampire whom she wanted to save. Sucker! Well deserved.
I couldn’t agree more with Claire Holt’s character, Rebekah, one of the Original vampires, when she trapped Elena in an underground cave and said she’s annoyed that everyone bends over backwards just to save Elena’s life. For a second, I was actually rooting for her. I wanted to see Rebekah at least slap Elena in the face.
So in the last episode, we learned that no matter how hard everyone tries to kill the Original vampire family, there is always a reason not to, and that reason, we learned, is their bloodline. That pretty much means if you kill one Original vampire, every person that the Original turned into a vampire will also die. That includes the hot vampire brothers and Caroline Forbes (played by Candice Accola). Gee whiz. How will they find a way around it this time?
This shall make for a fun Thursday night in.

I knew it wasn’t that easy. After virtually every news outlet has reported that Matt Groening has finally come out to reveal the name of the state The Simpsons are from, TV Guide has now just come out with an exclusive report, basically saying, “Wrong!”
“I never said Springfield was in Oregon,” Groening says. “I said Springfield was the name of my sled.” Groening is responding to rampant reports that claimed he had suddenly revealed one of the biggest secrets of The Simpsons’ 23-season history. In an interview with Smithsonian magazine, Groening confirmed something that he had actually mentioned several times in the past: That he named the show’s setting after Springfield, Oregon.
OK, now that I re-read the other story, Groening did say he named the town after Springfield, Oregon. He didn’t say the family is from Springfield, Oregon. Technicalities. D’oh! Sorry, Oregon, for bursting your bubbles. And mine!
